Holidays to Ibiza is a perfect choice for those who is keen on clubbing, dancing and extreme nightlife. But that’s not all, of course! In addition to breathtaking nightlife, Ibiza also features glorious beaches and abundant marine life. Thus Holidays to Ibiza is not only for the young adventure seekers, but also for families looking for a quality relaxing, yet entertaining vacation.

Culture and History of Ibiza

Ibiza is widely regarded as the ‘party island’ of the Mediterranean, and every year hundreds of thousands of tourists descend upon its capital city, Ibiza Town, to dance the night away in one of the many nightclubs and discos.  But a step back in time through these pretty cobbled streets takes visitors to an era of Roman domination, and warring between the Saracens and the Turks – centuries of history which have left their mark on this tiny island.

Visitors can marvel at the World Heritage Site of Dalt Vila, the old part of Ibiza Town; encompassed by stone ramparts and entered by crossing a drawbridge, the interior is castle-esque, with winding cobbled streets and hidden courtyards, and is home to some of the most desirable Ibiza restaurants and shops.

Entertainment in Ibiza

With Ibiza’s reputation set firmly on the party lifestyle, it’s no surprise that there are endless nightspots throughout the island.  Ibiza Rocks and Ibiza Spotlight are both good sources of information and they list what’s coming on at some of the most popular venues.

Space Ibiza is a popular nightclub located in Sant Josep de Sa Talaia, a 30 minute bus ride from the capital, and specialises in wild parties and loud, loud music.  If you’re visiting this club, be prepared to dance the night away for hours.

In the trendy and sophisticated resort of Cala Jondal Bay, the Blue Marlin Ibiza is a chic beach club with an award-winning restaurant and a price tag to match, but it’s a great place to spend a whole day, lazing in the blue waters before wandering back to the comfortable, classy restaurant for a light lunch.  The Blue Marlin also hosts events, from dances to fashion shows, so there’ll be plenty to do once the beach gets old.

For something a little different, head to Es Cana Ibiza, a tiny fishing village with a quaint harbour and a moon shaped sandy beach.  This place is home to a popular weekly hippy market that began life in the 1970’s.  These days it’s less hippy-ish and more of a tourist sight, but there are lots of local crafts and traditional gifts on sale.
