Self-Guided Walking Tours

Kampala city Walk: This full day self-guided walking/hiking holiday is an opportunity to discover the most popular tourist destination in Uganda. This is due to its good climate and natural beauty. Kampala is the capital city and most populated city in Uganda. As the seat of the National Parliament, it is also the legislative capital of the country. The city is famous for its cultural hotspots, bars, luxury clubs, casinos and restaurants dealing in all international cuisines

Jinja Walk: The eastern most beautiful Walk is a day at the northern tip of Jinja town where Lake Victoria and river Nile meet. The visitor will be rewarded with stunning views, beautiful islands, floral wonders and an interesting history of Gandhi, River and people, all at the world’s longest river-Nile

Entebbe Walk: This is an opportunity to view the unique shores of Lake Victoria and experience life at the beaches. You will walk along gorgeous beaches, each with their own unique characteristics. On your route you might spot water birds. Also take a visit to Entebbe Zoo, Botanical gardens, the oldest golf course in Africa and the state house. The walk takes half a day

Mgahinga Game Walk: Our Game Walk is a unique 1 day African wild life experience at Mgahinga national park in the south-western Uganda area, Uganda. It is an exclusive safari destination with distinctive landscape and spectacular sunsets. Accompanied by an experienced guide you will encounter abundant game and birds amidst the natural beauty in the heart of Africa. You can also experience golden monkey tracking as well.

forest walk in search for mountain gorillasBigodi community walk Tour: Starting from the briefing point in Bigodi trading center, the walk offers an opportunity to experience the splendor of distinctive and spectacular countryside– it lasts between 2-3hours. You will walk along private and secure footpaths that find their way through some of Uganda’s most esteemed swamps – through a spectacularly varied countryside that will reveal breathtaking scenery and a rich array of flora and fauna including primates such as Red tailed monkeys, Black and white Colobus monkey and colorful bird species.

Fort Portal Walk: The small town of Fort Portal is surrounded by majestic mountains and beautiful landscapes and is known as the cleanest town in Uganda. You will experience the Toro king’s palace, panoramic views of the mountains of the moon-The Rwenzori Mountains, enjoy warm hospitality and world class cuisine- all combined to create lasting memories. The walk takes between 1-3hours depending on your time.

Go ahead and explore the Amabere G’nyina Mwiru trail that takes a day renowned for its spectacular landscapes, waterfalls, crater lakes, botanical diversity, stalagmites and very special hiking trails.

Kibale forest walk tour: Just half an hour out of Fort portal town, lies an area of such natural beauty, flora and fauna diversity as to be recognized perhaps as the world’s greatest biodiversity hot-spot. Here we have some 351 tree species recorded in the park, some rise to over 55m and are over 200 years old, 70 mammal species and 375 bird species! The walk is about 2-4 hours

Bwindi impenetrable forest walk: The spectacular Park in western region, famous for gorilla safaris in Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest was awarded the status of a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It offers scenic beauty, great hiking, world renowned Batwa trail-the best way to explore ancient Batwa and great birding. The mountains exceed an average altitude of 2000 metres, forming the highest range north of Muhabura. We offer a 6day walking holiday, incorporating some of the best hikes in the area.

Mountain Rwenzori hikes: Choice of trails, based on your experience and difficulty preference. Easy, leisurely one day strolls for the not-so-fit, ideal for great photo opportunities, and not physically challenging. You can choose from 3 trails. Those wanting a workout, or seeking an opportunity to gain experience on the mountain can choose from moderate day walks. There are challenging hikes for the very fit, who do not mind a little rock-scramble and a little bit of adrenalin.
