Paraa safari Lodge is situated in Murchison falls National Park – the park is located in north western Uganda; Paraa Safari Lodge is one of the luxury accommodations in Murchison Falls National Park. Paraa safari Lodge can be reached by both road and air – it is just 6 hours drive from Entebbe international airport, via Masindi, by air; it is 1hour’s flight to the safari lodge.

Tourism Activities at Paraa Safari Lodge:
The activities offered include: hiking, sport fishing, ferry cruise, game drives and relaxing at the poolside of the lodge.
The boat cruise on the Nile enables visitors view water loving animals and birds like crocodiles basking on the shores of the River and wallowing Hippos; birds like Kingfishers, fish eagle, Pelicans and bee eaters and herds of Elephants and Buffaloes quenching their thirst.
The safari décor of the lodge still reflects the bygone era of early explorers, enshrined with a modern touch. The luxurious pool overlooks the winding River Nile below, which was the setting for the classic Hollywood movie “The African Queen” (starring Katharine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart). Enjoy a variety of excursions and activities; from exhilarating Safari drives to boat trips along the River Nile, ending at the foot of Murchison Falls. For the more adventurous, one can trek up to the top of the falls and marvel at the views through the mist. A variety of ecosystems and an impressive 451 species of birds awaits you here. The Lodge offers excellent view of the park and its inhabitants.
Area explored while at Paraa safari Lodge:
River Nile – A boat ride along the Nile rewards the view of crocodiles, hippos, birds and reptiles among others.
Nile Delta – Calm stretch of water where the tranquil Victoria Nile flow into Lake Albert –sight for birds.
Buligi game tracks – The Buligi game tracks, stretching between the Victoria and Albert Nile are the major safari destination.
Paraa – Paraa meaning “home of the hippo” in the Luo language is the park’s tourism hub- most game drives, boat cruises and nature walks commence here.
Karuma falls – It is an ideal area for sport fishing
Kaniyo Pabidi Forest – the forest contains black and white colobus and blue monkeys, olive baboons, habituated chimps, olive baboon. Other animals like elephants, buffalos, lions and leopards among others.
Rabongo Forest – it is an ideal for education tours.
Budongo Forest – is famous for chimpanzee trekking – Budongo is out side he park.
During our safari to Murchison Falls national park, we stayed at Paraa safari lodge. We used a 4×4 prado from car rental Uganda limited, and they helped reserve accommodation in this lodge at fair price.
